It has been really summery here and we have all been sitting out till late in the courtyard knitting away…Lorna’s bunting has been so successful that we have persuaded her to write the pattern for it…so if anyone wants to have a go just leave your address and we will send out to you!

Lorna  was finishing a beautiful cross over cardi for her grand daughter…to jazz it up a little and add some sparkle I gave her an oddment of Louisa Harding sari ribbon and showed her my new technique for knitting in ribbon:

K3 on RS of st.st. collar using Main Colour. P1 with silk ribbon. K3 with MC. Hold ribbong to front of collar on the RS and strand it infront of the last 3 sts. P1 with ribbon. Continue stranding ribbon to front of work to the end of the row. Work a 2nd row just before the cast off edge.You can use any ribbon in this way for edges etc and the ribbon looks great!

Hi everyone….I will be at the Birnam Institute on Sunday giving a lecture and mentoring session to anyone who would like to join us. Check out the PVAF website for booking and details.
